A day in Fayence, Var, in Provence

Scroll down to content

It’s quite amazing how well you can spend one day of your life. If you happen to be in the Fayence region, Var, that is.

Start with a real walk – les Villards de Granges – in order to see the famous hill top villages Callian, Montaroux, Tourettes and Fayence. Or go for a horse ride with Les Haras des Villards, where you can ride well kept and beautiful horses in the oak forests of Fayence.

And then, being really hungry, hurry to lovely Tourettes and La Pause Tourrettane and enjoy a good lunch with lovely views.

After having strolled the winding alleys of Tourettes and the neighbour Fayence, why not check in to the gem Le Moulin de la Camandoule. This used to be an olive mill and still hosts all the old equipment, as well as an amazingly well perserved roman aqueduct.

The eight rooms at The Moulin de la Camandoule are not expensive and the restaurant attracts lot’s of people from the neighbouring villages, since it’s both rustique, cosy and has a good chef and welcoming staff. #lottiesworld #visitfrance #franceFR #lapausetourrettane #lemoulindelacamandoule

Then, bonne nuit! Sleep well!

  1. Underbar!

Men så trött du blev efter promenaden GR49. Du får allt träna lite mer inför nästa besök 😉
