Vaucluse, Provence, France

I didn’t even know that the phenomena “luxury chambres d’hôtes” – Bed&Breakfast de Luxe – existed, until visiting Jean and Chantal at Chateau la Roque.

Jean and Chantal welcome guests in the five rooms and live in a separate part of this castle, where the oldest parts are from the 10th century.

The beautiful rose gardens are separated in terraces, with sitting areas and a pool. Since only five rooms, you’ll have your own garden to yourself.

Home made breakfast is a treat and the sunset-view over the valley is famous.

Then, go out biking via local Vaucluse-based Ride&More https://www.ride-and-more.com/

(I would personally avoid the american bike-operators, they are of course not from the area and act, as many US-based companies in Europe, regarding tax avoidance.)
